SPINGATE Technology
About Us

Spingate is engaged in developing, designing and licensing innovative technologies and chip architectures for nonvolatile logic and memory devices that can be used in standalone and embedded applications.

Spingate invented and has been developing a proprietary 3rd generation of magnetic random access memory (MRAM) that incorporates the most important features required for “universal memory”, such as a non-volatility, high cell density, excellent scalability, high write/read speed, low write energy per bit of data, almost unlimited retention time and endurance, exceptional thermal stability and radiation resistance. The company's MRAM has the smallest cell size (4F2) reported in the industry. The memory design can easily be modified in a 3D architecture to store several bits of data per cell.

The company invented and has been developing a new class of nonvolatile spin logic that combines advantages of CMOS technology with recent achievements of spintronics. Spingate's spin logic can perform both as a logic and a memory element and provides an elegant solution for advanced circuit designs.

Spingate has also invented a nonvolatile magnetic field-programmable gate array (FPGA) technology employing the proprietary spin logic. Spingate's magnetic FPGA has substantially reduced interconnects, chip size, and power dissipation along with increased speed.

The company's nonvolatile memory and logic technologies are especially attractive for use in mobile computing and communication devices; automotive, industrial and military applications.

Spingate's innovations represent disruptive technologies that will alter the landscape of several segments of the semiconductor industry, such as memory, logic, microcontroller and microprocessor by providing the non-volatility without degradation of other parameters.

The main assets of the company are outstanding innovative talents of its founders. These talents have been proven multiple times for numerous consecutive years by developing breakthrough designs and technologies. Several patents granted to one of the company’s co-founders became standards of magnetic storage industry with net profit exceeding billions of dollars for the licensed producers.

The company was founded in 2009 and is headquartered in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
