Spingate's founders have about sixty granted US and international patents, and about twenty pending patents. The patents cover a large spectrum of magnetic and semiconductor devices. Many patents and designs of magnetoresistive recording heads, magnetic media, and semiconductor devices originated by the company's founders have been already implemented into multiple products with net profits exceeding billions of dollars. Several conceptual proprietary magnetic head designs of one of the company founders became standards within the magnetic storage industry.

Current Spingate's IP portfolio includes more than a dozen issued and pending patents that cover basic elements of pS-MRAM technology, circuits of nonvolatile spin logic and magnetic FPGA.
